Rahul Gandhi Questions Modi over terror attacks in J&K

New Delhi: Sunday 7th December 2014
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi while addressing public in Ramgarh in Jammu & Kashmir bombards Prime Minister Modi with questions over recent terrorist attacks in Jammu & Kashmir. Such attacks have started ever since the BJP came into power in the centre, he said.
In an election rally held in Ramgarh, he said, “We had our government for 10 years. Tourists used to come to J-K. But there was peace. As soon as his (Modi’s) government came to power (at the Centre), terrorist activities started”.
He also added, “Wherever he (Modi) goes during the elections, whether it is Maharashtra, Delhi or UP, before the polls, there will surely be incidents of violence. He will ensure that one religion is pitted against another religion and then the election follows”.
“These destabilizing attempts need to be crushed & resolved”, said the Congress Leader who condoled 11 security personnel and two civilians who lost their lives in the terror attacks.
He said, “I salute the martyrs of the armed and police forces and convey my deepest condolences to the families of the civilians killed in the deplorable and deliberate terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.”
Rahul Gandhi tried to satisfy people by adding, “Congress Party stands firm with the people of the state and government agencies in their efforts to counter terror and terrorists”.
On Friday the valley faced terror attacks by militants in an army camp which killed 11 security personnel including a lieutenant colonel and 2 civilians in Tral in Pulwama district. This happened before PM Modi’s poll rally which was to be held in Srinagar on Monday.
Militants also targeted Srinagar and Shopian. 21 people including a commander of Pakistan based LeT and seven militants lost their lives in this battle.
He tells Prime Minister Modi to recollect the promises made during LokSabha Elections and made commitments to show India’s strength to China and Pakistan when he comes to power.
According to Supremo (Jr) of Congress Modi has been enticing the people of India by making lucrative but false promises to come to power. He claimed to retrieve and bring back the black money in 100 days after he becomes the Prime Minister of this country. He also said that the underprivileged and oppressed in India are awaiting Rupees 15 lakhs declared by him.
“Each and every decision” is taken by Modi and BJP is a “one man party”, said Rahul Gandhi.
“The Prime Minister wants to bring agriculture technology from Australia but the fact is that the Indian farmer needs no foreign technology as they know everything about cultivation and only need support from the government” – said Rahul. “There was no use of any imported technology”, he added..
In an election rally address a large gathering Rahul Gandhi, the Congress Vice President promised Round the Clock Power Supply to farmers in the states and good motorable roads in villages.
It may be worthwhile to mention here that the third phase of Assembly polls for 17 seats will be held on December 9, 2014 in Jammu & Kashmir. In the 81 member J&K Assembly, polls were held for 33 seats in the first two phases. Polling for the last two phases is to be held on December 14th and 20th this year. Counting of votes shall be carried out on December 23 2014.
