MAHARASHTRA KA MAHAEXPANSION

Mumbai

Following huge uncertainty, finally  twelve Shiv Sena leaders took oath as ministers in the first cabinet expansion of Bharatiya Janata Party government in Maharastra headed by Devendra Fadnavis.

Maharastra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis authenticated the news on Thursday that Shiv Sena are ready to join hands with BJP and form an alliance government in their state.

While talking to Media Persons in Mumbai “ We have decided to continue with the BJP – Shiv Sena alliance and form the government in Maharastra together. Twelve ministers from the Shiv Sena will join the government, out of which five Cabinet Ministers and seven Ministers of State will join the alliance,”

Following this some months ago, both the parties decided to break their 25 years old tie and the alliance finally broke ahead of Maharastra Assembly Polls this year. This happened as both the happy wheels demo parties were not really happy with the seat sharing in the Maharashtra assembly elections.  But after the poll results were announced, BJP won the battle with 122 seats but failed to achieve the majority. On the other hand Shiv Sena finished being the runner ups with 63 seats.

Shiv Sena backing out to support BJP in formation of the Govt., adamant of extending support to Fadnavis only against a lucrative offer and NCP in a clever move offering support to BJP, BJP on the other hand trying all options and other avenues,  when all ended in a futile exercise and finally nothing turned fruitful, it seems Shiv Sena and BJP both realized that a known devil would be much better than an unknown friend and accordingly shook hands with each other ending the month long drama.
